The PandaAngler is a privately owned sportfishing boat docked at Coyote Point Marina. Crewing on the Panda is by invitation only.
I generally take up to six, but sometimes as many as eight, friends fishing with me when I go. We share expenses (fuel, food, and drinks), tackle, and experience. We fish throughout the San Francisco Bay, the lower Delta, and offshore. Trips are generally planned a few days in advance, depending on weather conditions and fishing opportunities. Fishing opportunities include, depending on time of year, Sturgeon, Halibut, Shark, Striper, Salmon, Crab, and Tuna. I often take my clients on outings or include them with other friends, including Bay trips and fishing trips.
The PandaAngler is a Shamrock 29 Walkaround. I run twin 315 Yanmar Diesels. She comfortably sleeps 2 on yacht club cruise-outs, or four on extended Tuna trips (with two on watch, a crew of six is perfect). She is equipped with all of the amenities, including stove, refrigerator, head, TV, stereo, etc. She is also equipped with a full suite of Raymarine electronics including GPS, Radar, Sonar, Autopilot, etc. Safety gear includes two EPIRBs, one blue-water liferaft, two VHF radios, life jackets, flares, etc.
Crews on the PandaAngler are generally poised for a full day of fishing, cruising, or just having fun and relaxing.
